Based in Sweden the historic company Våges was founded in 1874 when Carl Samuelsson started a forge in his cottage in Smaland, he became well known for the quality of his work. The Blacksmith profession was handed down from father to son for three generations, each son pushing the boundaries of the craft as technology developed.
In 1997 Våge Gustavsson, started the company Våges Smide, he believed in a modern philosophy where the focus was on design, function and ingenuity.
Sadly Våge passed away in 2006, but he left a legacy of ideas and knowledge behind.
In 2006 the children of Våge took over the company with the goal is to pass on the thoughts and ideas of earlier generations by designing and crafting beautiful ingenious products with a clear identity.
