Labobratori was founded to “develop the possibilities of the notebook as a book, through the knowledge inherited from traditional binding methods. Through the knowledge inherited from traditional binding methods, we understand a book as a design object, functional and artistic, almost sculptural.”
Based in Barcelona, Spain, Labobratori is a bookbinding studio which takes its name from the joining of the terms labour (obra) and workspace (obratori). Their workplace is not just a studio or a workshop, it’s a laboratory where new projects are born.
